The Managerial Data Science Association (MDSA) is a premier academic association founded by distinguished professors from top research institutions with PhD training in Economics, Finance, and Financial Mathematics. Dedicated to the advancement of data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantitative research, MDSA ensures that data-driven decision-making remains transparent, rigorous, and free of bias.

MDSA operates as an independent body, overseeing the quality and integrity of AI-driven academic and business assessments. Our mission is to elevate global AI education and research standards through three core functions:

1. Ensuring Transparency in AI-Driven Business & University Rankings

MDSA supervises the Global Institute of Artificial Intelligence (GIAI) and its business ranking services, which provide independent, data-driven assessments of corporations and institutions—similar to the Fortune 500. Recently, GIAI has expanded its rankings to universities, MBA programs, and law schools. MDSA ensures that these rankings remain free from bias and grounded in empirical research.

2. Upholding the Highest Standards in Data Science Research

MDSA plays a key role in GIAI’s academic journal, which publishes leading research in data science, AI, and quantitative analysis. The association’s distinguished members serve as editors and peer reviewers, ensuring that every published paper meets the highest academic and methodological standards.

3. Independent Academic Oversight for AI-Focused Higher Education

MDSA provides external academic oversight for the Swiss Institute of Artificial Intelligence (SIAI), an innovative online business school specializing in AI, Big Data, and Data Science. SIAI offers MSc, DBA, and MBA programs focused on AI-driven business applications. As an independent accrediting body, MDSA evaluates and approves every student dissertation, ensuring that graduates meet the highest standards of academic excellence. Students who do not pass MDSA’s rigorous evaluation cannot graduate, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to quality education.

Through its work in business rankings, academic publishing, and higher education oversight, the Managerial Data Science Association stands at the forefront of ensuring that AI and data science remain ethical, transparent, and academically rigorous.
